Tom Arnold, 59, has mixed feelings about his former wife Roseanne Barr, and her iconic ABC sitcom Roseanne being abruptly canceled, but he says that he knew the implosion was bound to happen.
Arnold claims that his ex-wife was ready to bid farewell to the sitcom after just one season of the revival.
In an interview on Wednesday, a day after ABC canceled Roseanne revival after the show’s star Roseanne Barr posted a racist tweet on Tuesday, ex-husband Arnold says that Roseanne Barr didn’t want to do the show after one season.
Arnold, an American actor, comedian, and former writer for Roseanne, wrote for the show in 1988 and he got hitched with Barr in 1990, but in 1994, the marriage culminated in divorce.
He said that when he read her tweets, in the very beginning, he just knew that it would not end well. He added that after reading her racist tweet and the conspiracy theories with Donald Trump, he believed that she was far gone.
Even before her racist tweet on Tuesday, Arnold knew about her social media behavior. He added that the simple solution to the problem is either taking away her phone or keeping an eye on her.
